Mike Smith Marketing, Aquent Mike became employee #5 when he joined Laser Designs Corporation (Aquent’s original incarnation) in 1986 while attending Harvard College. Since then he has held a wide variety of senior positions across the organization.
In 1987 Mike placed the first job as we launched the MacTemps brand and became a staffing company. (Nunzio Domilici, our CFO today, was the “talent” Mike placed.) In 1988 Mike opened and managed the first remote MacTemps branch, in New York City.
As director of operations, and later as VP of international operations, Mike was directly involved in launching more than 20 of our locations around the globe. Other key positions Mike has held with Aquent include VP finance, VP of human resources, and chief operating officer. He was put in charge of marketing in 2008.
Mike graduated in 1987 from Harvard College where he studied medieval and ancient history.
